About

Michael Yezerski is a composer and recording artist whose work spans film, television, and his own releases. His range across genres including horror, drama, and crime has cemented his international reputation as one of the most versatile writers working today.

Michael’s minimal, horrific atmospheres on The Devil's Candy brought him international acclaim. That work led to a string of significant horror engagements, including Keith Thomas' The Vigil, Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities, Sean Byrne's Dangerous Animals, and the 2026 Sundance opener, Casper Kelly's Buddy. More recently, he has completed The Killings at Parrish Station and Claremont.

Michael is known as a gifted dramatist. He first drew wide attention with Elissa Down's acclaimed personal story The Black Balloon, and has gone on to score every one of Down's projects since, including her Netflix hit Feel the Beat, Ivy & Bean (for which Michael received an Emmy nomination), The Honor List, and While the Men Are Away. He scored the 2018 Sundance opener Blindspotting (written by and starring Daveed Diggs and Rafael Casal) and followed that with two seasons of its eponymous spinoff, co-composing with Ambrose Akinmusire. More recently, he completed the scores for Ice Road: Vengeance and The Mongoose, both starring Liam Neeson.

In the world of crime and true crime, Michael was widely praised for his work on the cult hit Mr Inbetween (Nash Edgerton and Scott Ryan), as well as Catching Milat, David Ayer's The Tax Collector, Bali 2002, and Fox's Deputy. He has also turned his hand to comedy, in particular with Patrick Brice's Corporate Animals, Rebel Wilson's The Deb, and her follow-up, Girl Group.

His emotive, surprising, and quietly beautiful music continues to gather fans around the world.
